I have been practicing holistic nutrition for 13 years. As a Holistic Nutritionist, my approach to nutrition and health encompasses exploring symptoms, as stemming from deeper root issues. We organically help you identify and treat root causes of health conditions and focus on prevention/long term treatment, rather than quick fix solutions. I am here to help you understand your decisions about food, develop a relationship with your body, and guide you to a deeper relationship with your self.
I offer custom nutrition programs, designed specific to meet your target health goals and needs. We will focus on food as medicine and lifestyle shifts as much as possible and at times, utilizing supplementation and herbs to address deeper challenges.
Nervous system reset (1, 3 or 6 month commitment)
We meet 4 x a month (1 x week) for 50 minutes over Telehealth with a balance of addressing psychotherapy and holistic nutrition to address, support and help you regulate, calm, soothe your nervous system (gut, brain, immune). The gut brain connection is critical when we work with mental health, so we want to address this from as many angles as possible: trauma, nervous system regulation, nutrition, supplements, lifestyle.

What's the connection between early childhood trauma and the immune and nervous system?
When our nervous system has been bathed in cortisol and adrenaline due to chronically responding to a stressful environment (abuse, loss, stressful caregivers, family dis-harmony, our body begins to develop defensive strategies to respond and protect itself. The gut becomes inflamed, we might develop food intolerances or allergies, chronic fatigue, anxiety even depression.
An anti-inflammatory way of eating focuses on balancing blood sugar, hormones and supporting gut/brain health promoting positive mood, relaxation and mental clarity. Many studies have shown that people who eat an anti-inflammatory diet have significantly lower risks of depression and anxiety.
Inflammatory foods containing gluten, dairy, soy, corn and wheat, grains, hydrogenated oil can be a contributing factor to chronic depression and anxiety and are often overlooked when exploring possible origins.
